In Triggered: From Reaction to Resilience, I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a project brought together by Dr. Cynthia Sholes, PhD, and Ariel Balfour. This book is a powerful reminder that our triggers can be a doorway to our own emotional freedom.
In my chapter, I share how I discovered that rest was the missing link in my health and lifestyle journey. For so long, I focused on doing more—pushing harder, staying disciplined—but it wasn’t until I leaned into true restoration that things began to shift. Alongside that, incorporating Juice Plus+ became a key piece in supporting my overall wellness.
Together, these changes helped me unlock a version of myself I had been working toward for years. My hope is that my story encourages others to listen to what their bodies are telling them and to recognize that you can go from emotional hijacking to grounded strength.
